Speedhunters titled its 2019 MAGStang story “Master of Deception: Meet the Magstang.” The line that still matters: this is not a clone. It is a real-deal Shelby GT500 with one significant twist — a carbon-fiber 1967 fastback on the modern car.
MAG Motors does not manufacture automobiles. It restores and modifies existing Shelby and Ford vehicles. The Speedhunters piece is useful because it states that distinction in public: the mechanical car underneath remains a Ford, which is the point of the MAGStang.
