FAQ
What clients usually ask.
- Is the MAGStang a clone or a resto-mod?
- Neither. It is a modern Shelby or Mustang — stripped to the chassis and rebodied in carbon fiber to the 1967–68 fastback silhouette. Factory electronics, safety systems, and serviceability remain.
- What does the R in GT500R mean?
- Restored and Reimagined — a MAG Motors designation. MAG Motors is not affiliated with Shelby American or Ford Motor Company.
- Which chassis can you build on?
- The original program used 2013–14 Shelby GT500 S197 cars. MAG Motors now also builds on the S550 chassis — Shelby GT350 and GT500 through 2024 — plus 5.0 GT and current-year Mustang / Shelby platforms. A carbon body saves roughly 400 pounds versus steel.
- Where is the car serviced?
- A Ford-qualified shop can perform mechanical, electrical, and routine maintenance. Full OBD-II access is retained. MAG custom parts are warranted for one year.
- What safety equipment is kept?
- Airbags, ABS, traction and launch control, crumple zones, steel door structure, inertial belts, factory security, and optional Mobileye ADAS.
- Can I specify paint, interior, and wheels?
- Yes. Hood, scoops, color, stripes, wheels, leather, audio, and rear-seat delete are commissioned with the client. A removable fastback / hardtop convertible is available.
- Where is MAG Motors?
- Miami, Florida. Commission inquiries: info@magstang.com or 954-800-0403.
