MAG Motors began with a restorer’s problem. Classic Mustangs look right. They also overheat, smell like old cars, and leave you calling a taxi. Michael sold the 1967, bought a 2014 Shelby GT500, and found the inverse disappointment: a plastic cabin and a body that would be dated by the next model year.
The MAGStang is the resolution. A factory-new chassis — crumple zones, airbags, ABS, traction, launch control — wearing a carbon-fiber 1967 fastback developed with CAD, 3D printing, and autoclave. It is not a restored classic and not a pro-touring Mustang on an original frame. It is a MAG Motors car, which is why it is called MAGStang.
Three years of research produced prototype serial 00. Client commissions followed by word of mouth. Build times vary depending on order timing and options selected. Head fabricator Cole Newcomb has been central to turning the method into a repeatable build. MAGStang has taken Best Ford at Chicago World of Wheels (2026) and the LA Auto Show, and has appeared at Motorcar Cavalcade and in Street Muscle, Speedhunters, and autoevolution.
The atelier is in Miami. Inquiries are taken from anywhere an S197 or S550 chassis — GT350 or GT500 through 2024 — can be sourced.
