The idea
Not a clone. Not a resto-mod. A new car in an iconic silhouette.
Classic cars look right and refuse to behave. New cars behave and age overnight. MAG Motors builds the third path: a factory-new chassis — airbags, ABS, traction, climate, OBD-II — wearing a carbon-fiber 1967–68 fastback developed in CAD, 3D-printed, and cured in autoclave. Donor platforms now include the S550: Shelby GT350 and GT500 through 2024.
More than three hundred custom parts. Roughly four hundred pounds saved versus steel. Build times vary depending on order timing and options selected. Serviceable at a Ford-qualified shop.

MAGStang GT500R
Classic outside. Contemporary within.
Italian leather and Alcantara over a 1967 dashboard. Recaro seats, Focal audio, Alpine navigation, push-to-start, dual-zone climate, and optional Mobileye driver assistance. The 5.8-liter supercharged Trinity, an S550 GT350 or GT500 through 2024, or a current-year powertrain remains behind a carbon radiator cover stamped with the commission serial.

Process
Five movements.
01
Donor
A factory-new or low-mile Shelby or Mustang chassis is selected — S197 GT500 (2013–14), S550 GT350 and GT500 through 2024, 5.0, or a current-year platform. Every modern system stays: airbags, ABS, traction, launch control, OBD-II.
02
Chassis
The car is stripped to the unibody. Chassis braces are welded. Suspension geometry is retained and can be specified with Steeda coilovers or tubular components for street or track.
03
Carbon body
The 1967–68 fastback is adapted in CAD, then realized in dry carbon through autoclave — more than 300 custom parts, 3D-printed components, and widened fenders to cover modern tracks. Doors and tail lamps sit in true 1967 positions.
04
Cabin
A 1967 dashboard is integrated with a modern electrical system. Italian and German leather, Alcantara, Recaro seats, Focal audio, Alpine navigation, push-to-start, dual-zone climate, and Ford GT-style switchgear.
05
Commission
Paint, stripes, wheels, scoops, and interior are specified with the client. Build times vary depending on order timing and options selected. The finished car remains serviceable at a Ford-qualified shop.
